What Do Boys Want From Scouting

When a boy becomes a member of the Boy Scouts of America, no matter at what age, one of the first questions is "How soon can I go camping?"

Cub Scouting offers a variety of outdoor program opportunities that include day camping, family camping and Webelos Weekends. Each program provides different values.

Camping and outdoor activities fulfill a boy's dreams of fun, excitement and adventure. They provide a natural setting for quality time with family and friends. Modern council camps with top qualified staff provide an ideal setting for these activities.

What Is Cub Scout Camping?

The Mt. Diablo Silverado Council offers first, second, third, fourth, and fifth grade Cub Scouts the opportunity to experience the FUN and ADVENTURE of the out-of-doors, to learn by doing and to earn advancement in a controlled and safe environment. We provide a safe-haven for your son.

What Is Cub Family Camping?

Cub Scout and Webelos Scout Family camping is a council organized, theme-oriented overnight camping program. It operates for at least two nights and is conducted under certified leadership at a camp approved by the council.

Who Can Attend?

Now the whole family is invited to attend Cub Scout Family Camping. Anyone in the family may attend any of the Cub Scout Family Camps we offer that are located at Camp Lindblad, as long as there is one registered Cub Scout in the family. Siblings under the age of 5 are only $15.00 and must be accompanied by an adult.

The Webelos Weekends at Camp Wolfeboro are limited to Webelos and their parents. This camp will give a more rustic camping experience to both parents and Webelos, with the feel of what to expect when they move up to a Boy Scout Troop.
