Medical Exams

 

For all overnight camps under 72 hours:

All camp attendees under the age of 40 (including siblings) must have a completed parts A and C Annual Health and Medical Record Form (34605), which does not call for a doctor's examination, but a new one must be filled out each year.  Those over 40 must fill out part B of the the Annual Health and Medical Record Form (34605),signed by a doctor.

 

Insurance

 

Medical insurance is provided for all registered Cub Scouts. The parents are responsible for their private health insurance policy as well as siblings of Cub Scouts.

 

Accreditation

 

The Mt. Diablo Silverado Council's camps are nationally accredited. The camp annually undergoes a rigid inspection based on the National Camping Standards of the Boy Scouts of America.

 

Rules For Acceptance

 

Rules and participation in the program are the same for everyone without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex or handicap.

 

Policies And Requirements

 

The Mt. Diablo Silverado Council will follow certain policies and requirements that have been developed by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America. These policies and requirements will insure that the camp is a safe haven for your child.

  • No alcoholic beverages on camp property.
  • Smoke Free Policy - all buildings or facilities are designated as nonsmoking facilities. Smoking outside entrance and exit doors is not permitted at any location. All activities should be conducted in a smoke-free environment, with permitted smoking areas located in the parking lot or behind the main lodge.
  • The Boy Scouts of America will not tolerate any form of Child Abuse (Emotional, Neglect, Physical or Sexual). Parents should feel confident that Camp Lindblad and Camp Wolfeboro are safe havens for their sons.
  • Hazing is not permitted in any form.
  • Boys may have other boys as "tent mates."
  • Only the parents of a child may sleep in the same tent with the child. Adults will be camping in the same campsite as their children.
  • No pets are allowed at camp.
  • Personal firearms and archery items should be left at home.
