Day Camp Volunteers Needed
Attention all troops!
We need Day Camp 2012 Volunteers August 6th through 10th.
volunteers will get breakfast and lunch everyday and service hours.
Day Camp will be at St. Mary's College.

Throughout the spring and summer of 2012, Barque Eagle will participate along with the United States Navy and various national and international tall ships in the War of 1812 Bicentennial Commemoration and Operation Sail (OpSail) 2012.

An announcement from John April regarding a sailing opportnity
The BSA is being offered a 1978 28 ft Islander sailboat. My thought before
turning this offer over to the Sea Scouts is to check with the Boy Scout Units
in Aklan and see if their is a strong leader interested in starting a Crew or
Post that would want to center their activities around sailing in the SF Bay or
Delta. This is an exteremely stable, heavy constructed boat excellent for
training purposes. Here is the deal!

Roundtable
Please plan to attend the Aklan District Roundtable on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:30pm at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1035 Carol Way, Lafayette. There are district announcements, awards and presentations, and then the Boy Scout and Cub Scout Leaders break out into discussion groups. There are planned and themed topics each month and also time for open discussion. Roundtable is a great place to meet other leaders, learn new things, ask questions, and improve your unit. Invite all the leaders and parents from your unit. There is something for everyone.
