Cub Scout Summer Day Camp will be held July 12-16 at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga. Boys who attend will earn their badges/pins/belt loops and spend days with old friends and make many new ones, with this year's theme, Cub Construction. Attending summer camp is a requirement to earn the Outdoor activity patch.
Registration for the 2010 Aklan Cub Scout Day Camp is now open.
Tags $75.00 for the week. The Tag Program is for siblings ages 3-10 of Adult Volunteers that are working at camp. The Tag Program is new and improved this year. There will be a structured program with lots of planned arts, crafts, games, music, physical movement, and special programs just for them.
Day Camp Needs You! The Aklan Day Camp has no paid staff – we rely upon you, the parents, to help. To assure that all participants share equally in the responsibility to staff camp, each Pack must provide one full-time volunteer (or the equivalent) for every four campers registered. The names of registered volunteers and campers will be provided to the Day Camp Coordinator (or Cubmaster) of each Pack so they can assure the Volunteer:Camper ratio is satisfied. All adults need to be registered with the BSA, and have current youth protection. If you need youth protection, please update your training.
Being an Adult Helper is a fun and rewarding experience. All full-time volunteers will receive a $125 refund for the first Cub Scout attending camp. Are you not able to volunteer all five days? Adult Helper's who are not able to volunteer the entire camp will receive a $20 refund a day. We appreciate our Adult Helpers very much and will have special treats during camp just for you!
Discount will appear as a credit to your credit card approximately 4-6 weeks after fulfillment of the volunteer commitment and submission of the Adult Helper Refund Request form.
Wanted Jr. Helpers: We are also looking for lots of mature enthusiastic youth (boys & girls ages 12 to 18) to serve as Jr. Helpers. This is a great opportunity for youth to earn valuable leadership experience. Jr. Helpers teach scout skills, assist in crafts, lead field games or help with the “TAG” program. This is not a paid position, but rather an opportunity to acquire service hours and leadership skills.
After registering for Cub Scout Day Camp. Please fill out the Activity Permission Slip and Personal Health and Medical Form found here. Please mail it to the person listed on the first page by the date listed. Thank you!
