Families At Camp
All Cub Scout Families are welcome to Cub Scout Family Weekend Camp. Even though all activities are designed for Cub Scouts to get their advancement, other members of the family can attend and be our guests. They will be able to do the same activities and experience the great outdoors. If siblings come to camp, they must be accompanied by their parents.
Meals will start on Saturday with breakfast and end with lunch on the last day; families are encouraged to eat dinner on the way up to camp Friday night. Webelos Weekends at Camp Wolfeboro will end just after breakfast on Sunday.
The camp offers 7 activity areas: Craft, Woodcraft, Nature, Whittling, BB Gun Range, Archery Range and Scout Skills. Siblings must be accompanied by a parent at all activities and events. There will be no advancement for siblings. A camp patch is included in the camp fee. Cub Scouts can have their advancement signed off by parents. There will also be campfire programs and other activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Program And Having Fun
Each Cub Scout Family Camp will begin at 4:00pm. Plan to arrive at camp between 4:00pm and 8:00pm on Friday. No meal will be served Friday evening. The first meal that will be at camp is breakfast on Saturday. Cub Scout Family Camps at Camp Lindblad will end after lunch on the last day, and the Webelos Weekends at Camp Wolfeboro will end just after breakfast on Sunday.
Each camp will include many fun activities that will each be based on the theme for that event. Some of the activities you will find at camp are: Archery, BB Gun Shooting, Scout Skills, Whittling, Hiking, Nature Activities, Campfire Activities and Crafts.
What Is My Campsite Like?
You will be given one of 10 nice and beautiful campsites nestled in the redwoods. Each site has a fire pit and picnic tables, as well as a sunshade to cover one table. The bathrooms are located near the program areas as well as near the campsite you will be in. There is a dining hall that you will go to get all of your meals while at camp.
What To Bring To Camp
Please remember to have all items packed in easily carried bags, as parking is not located near the campsites. All of your gear will be loaded into trailers and moved to a spot closer to the campsite so you can then carry it to your site. Bring only what you need and can easily move.
Very Important:
All camp attendees under the age of 40 (including siblings) must have a completed Class 1 medical form (34414A), which does not call for a doctor's examination, but a new one must be filled out each year. Those over 40 must fill out the Class 3 medical form (34412A), signed by a doctor.
