Tags

(Non-scout siblings ages 4 to 9): Parents who are on full time volunteers, present daily at camp are encouraged to bring their non-scout’s siblings to the supervised tag-a-long camp area. All tags are free! Register all Tags and please fill out the medical and shooting forms as it’s BSA policy.

Volunteering (All Parents - Please Read)

Cub Scout camp runs strictly on parent volunteers and ALL parents are required to help out in some way - big or small. If you cannot volunteer during camp time - that’s ok, we have loads of things to help out with before camp begins. Parents/guardians who volunteer FULL time at camp will be credited $100.00 eight weeks after camp closes. Upon registration (volunteers need to register too), make sure to select your commitment dates OR email us if you can help out before-hand. At camp, a delicious lunch, snacks/treats & beverages will be provided to our fabulous volunteers & youth helpers throughout day!

Youth Protection Training

Volunteers who work with scouts at camp including sat/sun camp set up or break down - must take online Youth Protection Training as it’s a BSA requirement. If been completed within 2 years, please provide a copy of the certificate in PDF format via email. Camp does not keep forms from from previous years.

Volunteer Orientation (Mandatory)

Although literally 100% parent run - we are a BSA accredited camp and all volunteers working with scouts during camp must be trained. There will be three separate orientation opportunities during the summer and every volunteer is required to attend at least one (TBA). Unfortunately parents/guardians or youth helpers will not be allowed to volunteer at camp unless all of the requirements are met, forms are submitted in completion and an email confirmation has been received from camp.

Youth Helpers (Boy Scouts)

We love our youth helpers! All Boy Scouts who have completed tenderfoot and are between ages of 14 to 20 may volunteer and receive service hours for their contribution at camp! Please contact the volunteer coordinator prior to registering your youth helper at Aklan.ScoutCamp@yahoo.com.

Partial Days

Cubs may come for any of the 5 days we just need to know in advance which days and they cannot attend. However, the program is designed to work on achievements throughout the week and missing a day will prevent your cub scout from earning his belts/loops or pins at camp. We request that there are no late arrivals or early departures from camp - unless it is an emergency. There are also no discounts for partial days.
