The Herms District covers the cities of Albany, Berkeley, Crockett, East Richmond, El Cerrito, El Sobrante, Hercules, Kensington, Pinole, Port Costa, Richmond, and San Pablo.

Presidio of San Francisco Historic Trail Hike Planning

If your unit is planning to hike the Presidio of San Francisco Historic Trail to earn the BSA Historic Trails Award you need to know that the Visitor Center is in a new location and there is construction on the approach the Golden Gate Bridge that may affect the trail route or getting around the park.

Herms District Lake Berryessa Service Project 18 Feb 2012

Boy Scout youth and adults helped the U. S. Bureau of Reclamation on Saturday, February 18, 2012, with their landscape restoration project; the goal of which is to restore the Blue Oak trees to Oak Shores area at Lake Berryessa in Napa County, California.

15-16 Oct 2011 - World Jamboree-on-the-Air & Internet

Troop 2, Troop 104 and Pack 104 participated in the World Scout Jamboree on the Air and Internet at Camp Herms, 15-16 October 2011. The Camp Herms lead amateur radio operator for this international event was Roy Adam N6FUN. The Mt. Diabo Silverado JOTA radio station at Camp Herms used the special-event radio call sign W6H for this event.
