The Iron Horse District covers the cities of Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek.
Roundtable is scheduled for the first Thursday of the month, 7:30pm at 2369 Overlook Drive, Walnut Creek, at th Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Overlook Chapel, following the Commissioner's Meeting.
Cub leaders, be sure to turn in all new cub applications immediately - a boy is not a Cub Scout until his application has been submitted to the Council Office. If you have any questions or need applications picked-up, please contact Senior District Executive Mary April at (925) 674-6122 or ironhorse@bsa-mdsc.org.
Scouting For Food is scheduled for November 14th and November 21st this year (2009). Information will be available at October's Roundtable. We hope to have the door hangers and maps available. Check back for updates daily!
Any questions please call Apanuc Advisor Peter Young at (925) 408-8501.
Fast Start Training is available online or by using a video.
Fast Start training is the first step for any new volunteer and is to be delivered immediately after a new leader registers and before he or she meets with any youth member.
All volunteers should also take Youth Protection Training On-Line before beginning any activities with any youth.
Note: The first time you go to the new BSA training management site from our training page, you will need to create an account for yourself. (Also: we have two "fast track" DVDs here at the office you can borrow from Mary April, the Iron Horse District Executive.)
Popcorn is in full swing. For more information, please contact District Commisioner Tom Cooper at (925) 899-2455 or by email at thomas@thomascooper.net.
