Eagle Recognition Dinner

The Mt. Diablo Silverado Council and Las Aguilas de Diablo wishes to honor you at our annual Eagle Scout, Quartermaster, Silver Award Recognition Banquet to be held at the Saint Mary’s College Soda Center in Moraga, at 6:30 p.m., on Thursday, May 24^th, 2012.  The guest speaker this year is Eagle Scout and NASA pioneer Dr. Bill Clancy.  Dr. Clancy received his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Stanford University.  Dr. Clancy was involved in some of the earliest artificial intelligence programs.  He has published 5 books and has been the keynote speaker in 18 countries.  Dr. Clancy currently works in the field of human-centered computing with the NASA Ames Research Center.

This banquet is to honor our 2011-2012 Eagle Scouts, Sea Scout Quartermasters and Venture Crew Silver Award recipients.  It is hosted by local Scouting business, professional and civic leaders.  You will have a specific host to act as your sponsor for the evening.  We will attempt to match your evening dinner sponsor to your area of career interest.  Please be aware that this is not just a dinner to honor you and your accomplishments, but to also begin your networking for future employers or mentors that could help you once your education is complete.  Please mark and save this date on your calendar.

The attire for the evening will be full scout uniform.  If that is not possible, a coat and tie is appropriate.

You may download a Las Aguilas Scholarship application at the bottom of this page.  This scholarship is available to Eagle Scout, Quartermaster, Silver Award recipients who recieved their award in 2011-2012.
