1. What is the Order of the Arrow?
The Order of the Arrow is Scouting's National Honor Society.

2. How do I become a member of the Order of the Arrow?

In order to become a member, you must be elected by your Troop or Varsity Team, and even then, only after completing a couple of requirements. You must be at least First Class, and completed 15 days & nights of camping including at least one week-long camp. Then you must be approved by your scoutmaster.

3. What does Ut-In Sélica mean?

Ut-In Sélica means "Twin Spirits" in the Constanoan language (See Lodge History).

The lodge totem is the California Grizzly Bear. Our lodge mascotts name is Fozzy.

6. Who should checks be made out to?
All checks for OA and other Scouting funtions will always be made payable to: Boy Scouts of America or BSA.

7. How much are lodge dues?
Lodge dues are currently $15.00 per year.

8. How often do I have to pay dues?
The annual dues period coincides with the calendar year, January 1st thru December 31st. New members inducted into the Order at the Wolfeboro Fall Ordeal are automatically extended into the next year.

9. Where may I purchase lodge flaps and OA materials?
Lodge flaps and other OA materials are only available at lodge functions/events.

10. How many Lodge flaps am I allowed to purchase?
Each lodge member may purchase as many Lodge flaps as they would like..

11. Which flap should I wear?

Wear the regular flap on your right pocket. If you have atended an event that had a special Lodge flap created for it feel free to wear that instead. But also know that the lodge flap is insignia and means current dues paid membership in the lodge. If you have not renewed your membership in the lodge, you should not be wearing the lodge insignia or lodge flap.

12. What do the border colors represent?
The red border lodge flap is the general membership issue flap. The white border lodge flap represents an Elangomat who succesfully converted 30% of his clan to brotherhood.

"Ut's In" is the lodge publication. Published quarterly it contains information on upcoming lodge events, functions, and news from the national office and our OA section for the annual conclave.
