Voyageur Experience

 

A two-day or more self-contained paddlesports trek, by canoe, raft, or kayak. All supplies for the trek are to be carried aboard. The Scouts must move to a new campsite at least once during the experience. Resupply of consumables from other sources is allowed (i.e., stopping at a campsite for water and fuel), and a support vehicle can accompany the trek, but all camping equipment should be on-board.

 

The Flatwater Experience is REQUIRED before attempting the Voyageur Experience. The River or Rafting Experience can be earned in conjuction with the Voyageur Experience.

 

Scouts should learn and practice the techniques of planning and packing for an extended Paddlesports trek.
